IN THE NEWS:
Work had begun on installation of the £90,000 “MUGA” play equipment on Swans Length, Alvechurch, despite opposition from residents and controversy over why “106 money” apparently earmarked for The Meadows was being spent on this instead.

Meanwhile, Lickey and Blackwell councillors were pleased that a flashing “slow down” sign had been installed near the school on Old Birmingham Road.

Donato

Donato Esposito, founder of the Bostin T-shirt company, had swapped the Lickey Hills for a four-day trek through the mountains of Peru’s Inca Trail (including Waynapicchu, above), raising almost £5,000 for the British Heart Foundation.
