Planners have told Cala Homes to make the planned public right of way through the Foxhills estate in Barnt Green accessible.
District councillor Charlie Hotham told The Village he had had a site meeting with planning chief Ruth Bamford, who was of the opinion a pedestrian gate should be installed in the estate to allow public access, while the gate on to Cherry Hill Road had to be unlocked. There should also be improved footway lighting to make the path safer for the public.
“A letter has been sent to Cala expressing this view,” Coun Hotham added.
