Let’s consign bonfires to past

-

I am amazed at the comment by John Holland last month (Bonfires haven’t killed me yet. . .)

How would he remember the end of WWII? I was born in 1944 but I do not remember bonfires at 7am. Nobody wants to go back to the 1960s when there was smog and fog everywhere.

We are now in the 21st century when there is no need for bonfires. If you want bonfire smoke, have it in your garden and see what your neighbours think.

Personally, I want a smokeless area so that I can sit in my garden without breathing smoke.
