Bromsgrove jeweller marks its ‘platinum anniversary’ with a very special range of hand-crafted engagement rings.

Unsurprisingly, at 70 years and counting, Cupitt Jeweller is one of Bromsgrove’s longest-established firms – and it has remained both a valued asset and a beacon of traditional quality in the ever-changing town centre.

The family-run firm, now in its third generation, has a well-deserved reputation for excellent products and customer service, and owner Åsa Cupitt regularly introduces new ranges, brands and ideas to ensure the shop appeals to a variety of customers.

To mark Cupitt’s 70th birthday, a beautiful new collection of engagement rings has been designed by Åsa and created by resident jeweller Keith Norton in the on-site workshop.

The “Northern Lights” collection, inspired by that phenomenon and by nature in general, features 10 different styles of ring – and couples can choose the size of diamond according to their budget.

“Platinum is the traditional gift for a 70th wedding anniversary, so we decided to create platinum and diamond rings for the collection – which will be expanded over time,” explains Åsa.

To promote the collection, the rings are being displayed in a natural shoreline setting with pebbles, driftwood and shells – and each is presented in an unusual box representing a granite pebble.

Cupitt is also offering an innovative idea for a special proposal:

“If you’re not sure what ring your partner would choose, you can opt to buy a simple silver ring with ‘Marry Me’ inscribed on it – then, after the surprise proposal, you can both come in and choose the ‘official’ engagement ring,” says Åsa.

“You’ll get to keep the proposal ring, of course, but we’ll take its cost off the price of your engagement ring.”

The firm provides dedicated appointments for those choosing engagement and wedding rings, and of course the attractive shop is packed with plenty of other jewellery from a range of top brands.

There’s also giftware (perfect for wedding presents) and a gift-wrapping service – and don’t forget that Keith can repair and remodel your existing jewellery in the workshop.

Cupitt celebrates its actual birthday in the week beginning June 6, and during that week there will be lots of events, competitions and special offers in store – pop along and see what’s happening!
