Walkers in the Lickey Hills are being encouraged to report suspicious or criminal behaviour to police.
The “WalkerWatch” scheme, similar to Neighbourhood Watch, has been set up by the Local Policing Team.
A priority is to cut theft from cars as almost two thirds of vehicle crime reported in Bromsgrove district happens on the Lickey Hills car parks.
Application forms for walkers who would like to help are available from Rubery Police Station or the Rangers Office at Warren Lane.
