Some months ago there was a letter in your magazine from someone complaining about the disabled parking spaces in Barnt Green village.
The point being made was that there was a severe shortage of parking spaces generally in Hewell Road, particularly in the vicinity of the shops, and that it was unfair to restrict it further by reserving spaces for a minority group.
In fact both these spaces are usually occupied by cars that are not displaying a Blue Badge, and are most often four-wheel drive vehicles being driven (or should I say parked) by very fit-looking young women.
As someone who has very restricted walking ability, and whose wife is wheelchair dependent, I feel very sad that some people are so thoughtless, and I hope that if they read this letter they will be more considerate in future.
May I also say how much we enjoy receiving your publication.
