An ‘upward icicle’ spotted and photographed by Village reader Geoff Franklin in Cofton Chuch Lane, Cofton Hackett during the freeze of February 2021.
Geoff told The Village: “The air overnight had been just the right temperature for the water to freeze as it was being squeezed out of the post and the wind has honed it to the shape of a feather.
“I’ve found similar photos online but only from places where it’s seriously cold.”
