Hearing that street lighting was to be repaired in Bordesley, Alvechurch parish councillor Steve Hornsby told colleagues: “I am very pleased because it will give us an even better view of the Brown River of Bordesley. I’m not sure whether the council should sort the drain or open a white water canoe centre.”
Parish chairman Marc Worrall said they had been talking to North Worcestershire Water. “Things have moved on, but we have still got a brown river.”
