Arty theme for fete

Fete peeps

The summer fete at Grosvenor House care home in Alvechurch had an artistic theme once again, as members of Pam’s Art Group entered a competition to have their paintings displayed at Grosvenor and its sister home Tutnall Hall, both run by Springview Care.

This year the artwork was based on the style of David Hockney, as suggested by resident Neil Field, and the winners – Jackie Lee and runner-up Chris Wheatley – were announced at the event by village MP Sajid Javid.

Sajid (above, with artists and directors of Springview Care) also declared the fete open and later tweeted: “Privilege to open summer fete at Grosvenor House Care Home in Alvechurch. Lovely residents and fun for whole family.”
