A 20mph speed limit should be introduced between the pinch points at either side of Alvechurch – from the M42 bridge to the top of Swan Street by Sandhills Nursery – the village’s parish council agreed.
Councillors heard from Coun Martin Ball that an online petition he had set up had already gathered more than 100 names.
They will write to county councillor June Griffiths asking her to seek the introduction of the speed limit as soon as possible.
