Extended route is great news

Re: Noise of the ghost buses (Village Views, July 2014): Regular bus users to Cofton Hackett are becoming aware that the new 45 bus extension is very useful when coming home from work in Birmingham.

In addition to the 98 bus, you can now use the 63 out of Birmingham to Bournville College and then get a 45 to Cofton Hackett, also stopping at Lowhill Lane, Edgewood Road, the top of Leach Green Lane and Rednal island.

This recently extended service on the 45 is great news in an era of bus cuts (as due to be announced for the 45 service) and should not be strangled at birth.

I am sure the bus company will look at the frequency of use over time, but I hope they maintain the current frequency at peak times for the workers.

Also, I am sure the buses will be useful in the winter when there is snow and ice on the ground and people would rather not risk using their cars.
