Residents in action call

-

Bordesley residents are forming an association to improve their community.

The very busy A441 that splits Bordesley down the middle dominates life, and alleviating traffic problems will be the prime focus of the group.

But they also want to tackle other issues and hope to generate community spirit.

Alvechurch parish councillor Rick Chima is helping the residents, including Carol Sandys, who has been pressing behind the scenes for action over speeding.

She believes it’s time to forget the long-promised, but never-to-be bypass because it only leads to disappointment and disillusionment.

“My current thinking is to aim to get Worcestershire County Council and the police to focus on law-breaking and their basic duties to keep the road and us safe,” she explained.

Anyone interested in joining with other residents can contact Carol at 457, Rose at 443 or Caren at 367 (all  Birmingham Road) or email: .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
