After so much work by volunteers and so many positive “outcomes”, it would have been a community disaster for Alvechurch to see The Lounge closed down.
Thankfully, they were able to successfully make their case to Bromsgrove which, in turn, saw the undoubted value of the project.
Now it is up to the community that is benefiting so much from the work of The Lounge to ensure its doors remain open, and for longer hours, by backing it.
If every charity effort looking for a cause chooses the future of the village’s young people, and if every business contributes just a small amount of its turnover, The Lounge’s future could be secure.
At the very least, pop in for a cuppa and a cake every now and then!
