Special gig at Rowney Green

-

Local music promoter Erin Green has lined up a great series of gigs at Rowney Green Village Hall in the coming months – including an event in memory of Peter Rippington, with all profits donated to his memorial fund.

The gig takes place on Saturday April 21, when singer/songwriter Rob Halligan will perform some of his internationally acclaimed work. Rob explores forgiveness and reconciliation with songs that challenge faith, politics and complacency. He sings of his experience of life on the streets to his work with the homeless and his work with charities in developing countries.

Rob’s 2009 album Best Thing That’s Happened was nominated Contemporary Album Of The Year. Tickets cost £10 and are available from https://www.brightside-music.co.uk

On Saturday June 30, the hall welcomes French singer Flossie Malavialle, whose repertoire ranges from Piaf to Brel and jazz to folk (tickets £8), and Saturday July 28 brings a visit from Elbow Jane, a five-piece contemporary acoustic roots combo from Merseyside (tickets £12).
