Young Joshua Davies of Rubery has been fundraising for Birmingham Children’s Hospital A&E department, which saved his life last December when he developed meningitis and a blood clot on the brain.
He and his parents, Julie and Stuart, decided to raise money for the department as a thank-you, and Joshua signed up for the BRMB Walkathon in May.
Stuart, who is a postman in Barnt Green, asked local residents to sponsor Joshua – they pledged a fantastic £1,600, taking the grand total to £3,030.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported Joshua and to let them know that he has made a remarkable recovery and been given the all-clear,” says Julie.
