My biggest thank you

I would like to thank all local residents who took time out of their Sunday to support the inaugural event for the Macmillan Cancer Support’s Bromsgrove Fundraising Group’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning at Finstall Village Hall.

The Bromsgrove Fundraising Group all came away with a smile on our mugs, so to speak, in knowing a ‘Good Day’ had been achieved for people affected by cancer in our local area.

The day started with Sajid Javid, our own MP for Bromsgrove, opening our event. Not only did he attend with his lovely family, but he brought along his delicious chocolate cake for us to auction, just as he had promised. Simply delicious!

The final total could not have been achieved without the kind support of many local business people: Constance Wallace, The Queens Head Stoke Pound, Chocolate Deli, Elements Jewellery, JETS Pottery Painting, Living Well, Marksman Leisure, Sweetz.  With their help with donations to the group, we managed to raise a fantastic amount of £749.51.

I would also like to thank Finstall Village Hall and Finstall Parish Council for donating the use of the venue.  It is much appreciated.

I hope that all Bromsgrovians will support our group, so that we may continue to help those affected by cancer within our own community.

Chairwoman, Bromsgrove Fundraising Group & Ambassador for The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in Worcestershire
