The slow walk to abolition of the apparently unloved Lickey End Parish has taken another step.
Bromsgrove District Council said 758 residents (34.8 per cent) of the parish’s 2,178 electors responded to its consultation, with 625 for and 120 against abolishing the parish and dissolving the council. There were 13 rejected ballots.
A meeting of Bromsgrove’s Electoral Matters Committee on July 26 will consider a draft proposal, which will then go before residents for comment in another public consultation before the submission of a final proposal.
