After reading in the June issue of The Village how Coun Roger Hollingworth intends to improve the management of Bromsgrove District Council, I thought that I must write for the residents of Bordesley regarding the bus shelter.
There has been a concrete slab in the position of the bus shelter for the last six months with no further action taken. This is not efficient management.
A petition, signed by the vast majority of local people, demanding a bus shelter was given to the council earlier this year, which was conveniently ignored.
Five years now of prevarication concerning the bus shelter cumulated in a traffic calming meeting on February 15 last year, where it was agreed with other members of the county and district councils to construct the said bus shelter.
Actions speak louder than words!
