A few words. . .

-

There is nothing more likely to cheer an editor than a lively array of reader’s letters. That’s what this magazine is all about – it’s a place where people can have their say about the things that matter to them.

Readers can share their knowledge with other people: and who won’t be fascinated to read about – or be reminded of – the Alvechurch anthrax scare?

Sometimes, a correspondent’s words might even spur someone to action. One Barnt Green reader’s complaints about the state of the streets in his village has apparently brought the sweepers out.

In Alvechurch, one reader hopes to gauge the demand from villagers for allotments, and perhaps see those that currently lie unused in School Lane returned to use for village gardeners.

Another gives thoughtful weight to the benefits of a thriving Co-op store in the village compared with the dangers its delivery lorries can pose. On balance, they hope other readers will also urge the Co-op to find a better way of bringing its goods to market.

In the age of email, it’s easy to send us your views . . . although we’ll still, of course, be happy to accept handwritten notes on the back of an envelope!

So, as we say on this page every issue, go on . . . get in touch!
