Swans’ walk

Some months ago we were delighted to have on Cofton Lake two swans and, within a short while, five cygnets.

My biggest thank you

I would like to thank all local residents who took time out of their Sunday to support the inaugural event for the Macmillan Cancer Support’s Bromsgrove Fundraising Group’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning at Finstall Village Hall.

Power-off to the 1970s

Here follows an open letter to the Electricity Distributor E-On, Central Networks, regarding recent power outages in Alvechurch:
I am writing to thank your team for the dozen power cuts we have sustained in the last two and half months.  Recently I feel as if I have been magically transported back in time to my childhood in the 1970s.

Messy Meadows

I just wanted to let you know that the “Sunday Club” is still going on in The Meadows, with under-age drinking.

Daffodil damage

Just yesterday, on my way home from Rubery, I was thinking to myself how beautiful the daffodils were about to be along the edge of the park.

The last discrimination?

I agree completely with Andy Johnson. I was extremely disappointed to read such views in a publication [The Grapevine] delivered to my door.

More than names

I am all too aware that when we have Remembrance in Barnt Green and a list of names of the fallen are called out, we can all too easily register them as just a name.

Verging on the ridiculous

I have enclosed a photo of the damage caused by a Virgin Media road crew when they laid their cables along Middle Drive in Cofton Hackett.

Residents’ power

I have read with interest the recent reports and articles concerning the establishment of the Barnt Green area Residents Association.
