Rednal film producer Martin Nigel Davey has a brand new project in the pipeline – a very special stage show in aid of UK cancer charities.
Nigel, who has previously made two films in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, formed Davey/Price Production with Worcestershire writer Monica Price after the success of their show To Cancer and Beyond.
Now with the new title SURVIVE!, the production – starring many well known actors from film and television – looks set to generate even more interest.
The powerful show tells the story of seven characters of different ages and backgrounds surviving various types of cancer, interspersed with music performed by well-known singers. The song Survive has been written especially for the production and will be performed by a leading soloist.
The premieres will take place at Birmingham’s Alexandra Theatre on September 29 and 30, raising money for The EVE Appeal, Macmillan Cancer Support, Teenage Cancer Trust and The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.
As well as backing from the cancer charities and generous sponsors, the show is also endorsed by Dame Judi Dench and Sir Roger Moore. More info and tickets via https://www.surviveshow.com
