Alvechurch Community Choir meets at 7.30pm on Mondays, usually in Alvechurch Village Hall though on the 2nd Monday each month they move to a different venue, usually Alvechurch Social Club. They have occasional pub singalongs too.
The choir is an open access singing group; new members of all abilities are welcome. It is part of a charity called Everybody Let’s Sing and is committed to bringing music to a wide community, including a regular choir it runs at The Lawns care home.

Barnt Green Choral Society starts rehearsals for the 2018-19 season on Mon Sep 3. It’s a non-audition choral society; new members always welcome.
This season they will perform three concerts; a Christmas Carol concert on Dec 15, the main Spring concert on March 23 (Chilcott’s Jubilate, Rutter’s Gloria, Stanford’s Te Deum and Macmillan’s Ecce Sacerdos Magnus) and a Summer concert on June 15 with the music of Gilbert and Sullivan.

Alvechurch Morris Men are on the look out for new dancers and musicians. They practise on Mondays at Alvechurch Baptist Church Hall, 8.30–10pm, followed by a “debrief” at a local hostelry. They dance in local towns and at various local and national events, and perform a world-famous (sort of) mummers play in the village every New Year’s Day.
No ability, fitness or co-ordination required – if you are male, 18+ and prepared to spend more time than is probably good for you in public houses, pop along to meet the group!
