Following the very generous offer of Peter Gwilliam and Scott Wilkinson of Alvechurch FC to donate a season ticket for the first draw of “J’s Football Cards” in August, I was thrilled to be the winner!
Following the initial excitement I confronted the fact that my husband and I were not football people, and therefore wondered what to do with our good fortune.
I am very pleased to report that someone we knew who did not have a season ticket purchased it from us for the sum of £80 and this money has been donated to The Alzheimer’s Society in memory of my father Eric.
So thank you to Alvechurch Football Club and thank you, Kevin.
