The Lawns care home in Alvechurch had a bit of luck with the weather for its recent Garden Party, with the rain stopping just before the event began.
Residents and their families and friends enjoyed live music from John Dale and Alexandra White, as well as a buffet, burgers, hot dogs, fries and a slush puppy machine.
For the younger guests there was a piñata and a bouncy castle, but surprisingly the majority of those who enjoyed it the most were adults, including staff and some residents – proving that age has no limits.
A special cake was made by a staff member for a “guess a weight” competition, and also featured The Lawns’ brand new logo.
“We had a great turn out and some really lovely comments, with people saying this was our best party yet,” said manager Lukas Rokita.
“I would like to thank everyone for supporting us with their kind donations, which will be spent on more entertainment for residents, and to say a massive thank-you to the staff.”
