Alvechurch Knit and Natter, run by Cynthia Lawton and Daphne Cross, presented cheques to representatives of the three charities the group has chosen to support this year. Funds are raised through sales of knitted toys and clothing, plus a raffle later in the year.
Receiving the donations were Wayne Church on behalf of Brain Tumour Research, Tina East from the Good Hope Hospital Charity, whose bereavement suite supports families of stillborn babies, and John Weston of the MND (Motor Neurone Disease) Association.
Each charity received £100, with more funds promised after the raffle in December. All three thanked Knit and Natter for their support.
