cast
Clockwise from left: Lesley Piddington (Blind Pooh), Keith Johnston (Pretty Wally), Ges Taylor (Cutthroat Jake); Martin Salter (Slack Marrow), Gemma Batty (Handy the Octopus), Emma-Louise Hodgson (Woozy), Emily Waller (Mistress Hanky).

For their latest pantomime Alvechurch Dramatic Society are heading to the high seas for a tale of piratical skulduggery: The Lost Treasure of Numbskull Island.

Brought to you by Chris Davies and Paul Chamberlain, who are to blame for all of the Society’s recent pantomimes, the show will feature plenty of “Yo ho ho” and quite possibly a bottle of rum!

Anne Bonny is desperate to join a pirate crew, but gets more than she bargained for when the dastardly Slack Marrow and his gang sail into dock. An unusual treasure map sends them on a quest for booty, but will the curse of Numbskull Island strike again? Or will the great King Neptune and his friends intervene? And will romance blossom between young tearaway Tom and Fish Finger the mermaid?

Join us aboard the Jolly Bodger to find out! You’ll find all the usual panto fun in a tale of buried treasure, undersea creatures, shanty singers, unfortunate castaways, an oversized parrot and much more! So come and walk the plank to Alvechurch Village Hall and remember – dead men tell no jokes!

The panto will be performed from Weds Nov 28 to Sat Dec 1 at 7.30pm nightly, with a 2.30pm matinee on the Saturday. Tickets £7 (£6 concessions) from The Lounge in Alvechurch, by calling 0121 447 7071 or emailing ads.alvechurch@gmail.com
