Reader Charlie Bateman has asked us to publish this photo, showing pupils and staff at Lickey End First School in about 1900, to see if anyone recognises an ancestor.
The picture was recently discovered in Canada by a descendant of the Newbury family, who lived in the village for many years, and shared on a Birmingham ancestry forum.
It has proved helpful to today’s pupils as they are currently studying the Victorian era.
