Alvechurch Parish Council has decided to continue highlighting its concerns over the status of the village’s GP practice.
A working group has been looking into fears that village patients may be missing out on some services because Alvechurch Medical Practice is a branch of a practice based in Birmingham.
Group member John Cypher told parish councillors that NHS England’s new Sustainability and Transformation Plan aimed to increase care for patients in their homes and communities and this would make the availability of local services to village patients even more critical.
Coun Peter Freeman has joined the working group as the council reaffirmed its commitment to the campaign.
