Villagers to hear latest news on Marlbrook Tip

-

Another public meeting is being held this month for villagers to quiz Bromsgrove District Council over its progress in resolving the over-tipping of more than one million cubic metres of waste in the foothills of the Lickeys.

To be held on Monday September 24 at Lickey Parish Hall at 7pm, it will be attended by district council members for Marlbrook Coun Brian Cooper and Coun John Ruck, who will chair the meeting. The council’s portfolio holder for Planning Coun Kit Taylor and Head of Planning and Regeneration Ruth Bamford will also attend.

The council says it is “maintaining a relationship with the site owner and is monitoring on-site buildings and working on landscaping options to improve the topography of the site”.

Ms Bamford said: “Residents will know that we have committed to holding these regular meetings to keep them informed on what is happening, because there is nothing quite like discussing the issues face to face.”
