Great weather in June and July helped the gardens open in Alvechurch under the National Gardens Scheme to raise £2,981.60 for the scheme’s charities – plus more than £400 in plants sales in aid of the Where Next? Association.
The local organisers are now looking at expanding the number of gardens involved next year, but need to find out who is interested soon because details have to be ready this month.
