Design your own kitchen

Bespoke kitchens used to exist only at the top end of the market, but nowadays they are much more accessible to everyone – and a prime example is My Kitchens.
The Stirchley firm says it can offer the same materials, fixtures, fittings and accessories as any large kitchen company, but at My Kitchens clients can design their own kitchen for a fraction of the cost.

The company does all its own manufacturing and subsequently can produce designs to suit individual measurements and styles.

“We want our clients to come back to us, and recommend us to their friends, so it makes sense to give good sound advice, and not just try to sell whatever will get us a bigger profit,” says owner Taff.

“A real granite working surface may be expensive, but if someone really wants quality this is what we would recommend. If the client wanted a similar look in another material then I would probably recommend the Formica. It looks very similar, it’s hardwearing, and it’s very cost effective.”

My Kitchens only use top quality fittings, and customers can choose handles and accessories from a huge range.

The firm also provides clip-on hinges, which enable the doors on the unit to be changed easily for a brand new look.
